A locally owned transport company based in York is looking for an experienced truck driver for the 2025/26 hay and harvest season. The business has an excellent, established client base carting bulk ag commodities including grain, fertiliser, lime, hay and wool throughout the surrounding wheatbelt.
🚛 The Role
Running from early October through to Christmas, with a start date that's flexible around the season (hay can kick off anywhere from early to mid October). There's also potential follow on work carting lime into the new year for the right person.
You'll be based out of a well maintained fleet of three Mack trucks (2003–2005, manuals) paired with near new matching grain tippers fitted with cameras and scales for optimal loading.
✅ What You'll Be Doing
- Cartage of hay to hay mills across the wheatbelt and local sheds
- Cartage of grain during harvest to surrounding CBH sites
- Basic general upkeep, maintenance and washing of trucks and trailers
- Keeping daily paperwork up to date, including work completed, maintenance sheets and fatigue management
🎯 What We're Looking For
- Competent and confident operating manual Mack trucks and matching tippers
- Solid experience in bulk ag commodity cartage (grain, hay, fert or similar)
- Reliable with a strong attention to detail on paperwork and fatigue management
- Takes pride in keeping gear clean and well maintained
🎁 What's On Offer
- $35 – $50 per hour, depending on experience
- Well maintained, near new grain tippers with cameras and scales
- One meal supplied per day, six days a week

- Potential for follow on lime cartage work into the new year
