This is a 12-month full-time contract on a 6,000 ha mixed enterprise - 5,000 ha of cropping and 900 self-replacing Merino ewes. A great opportunity for someone with broadacre experience who wants to be hands on across both cropping and livestock, work with modern gear, and settle into a tight-knit wheatbelt community.

🌾 ABOUT THE FARM

6,000 ha mixed enterprise running a 5,000 ha broadacre cropping program (wheat, barley, canola, oats) alongside 900 self-replacing Merino ewes.

🚜 ABOUT THE ROLE

Farm Hand - Mixed Sheep & Cropping (12-month contract)

• Seeding operations and chaser bin driving

• Potential combine/header operation during harvest

• Fertiliser, dolomite and gypsum spreading

• Spraying, spreading and grain handling

• Earthworks and loader operation

• Daily machinery checks and basic maintenance

• Welding, fabrication and general repairs

• Mulesing assistance and shearing shed work

• Sheep handling and husbandry

• Fencing, water runs and property maintenance

This role suits someone practical, mechanically minded and switched on. Someone who's comfortable behind the wheel of modern broadacre gear, but equally happy to muck in around the sheep and the workshop.

✅ WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Experience with large modern broadacre machinery

• Strong understanding of cropping systems

• Mechanical aptitude - comfortable with daily checks and basic repairs

• Ability to work long hours during seeding and harvest

• Driver's licence (essential)

• HR licence and chemical handling ticket (desirable)

• Welding and fabrication skills (highly regarded)

• A team-first attitude and willingness to help across the operation
