Join a large, family owned cattle operation in WA’s pastoral north as a capable, hands on couple supporting day to day station operations.
This role suits a practical couple who enjoy station life and working together across a mix of bore running, general station duties and homestead responsibilities. It is an ideal opportunity for those seeking a genuine outback lifestyle and long term station role.
ABOUT THE STATION
This 196,000 hectare breeding station runs Droughtmaster, Santa Gertrudis and Charolais cross cattle supplying feedlot operations in the Midwest.
The property features:
• 4 sets of covered steel cattle yards
• 60 waters including solar, dams, tanks, troughs and windmills
• Machinery sheds, workshop and carport
• RFDS approved airstrip
• Established homestead with services
The station forms part of a wider WA cattle business focused on sustainability, herd improvement and long term operational performance.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Bore Runner / Station Hand
• Bore running and water maintenance across the property
• Checking and maintaining pumps, tanks, troughs and solar systems
• Fencing, infrastructure repairs and general station maintenance
• Assisting with mustering, yard work and cattle handling
• Operating station vehicles and machinery
• Supporting station management with daily operational tasks
Partner Role
Homestead and Station Support
• Cooking daily meals for the household and station staff
• Homestead cleaning, laundry and general upkeep
• Assisting with bore runs and water checks
• Helping with station duties as required
• Supporting contractors, visitors and station logistics
Both partners are expected to work as a team and assist across the property where needed.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
✔ Previous station, pastoral or rural experience preferred
✔ Confidence working in remote conditions
✔ Practical approach to station and maintenance work
✔ Drivers Licence required
✔ Bore running, mechanical or water system experience highly regarded
✔ Strong work ethic and positive attitude
✔ Ability to work independently and as a couple
