Casual or Full-time Spray Contracting Modern Case Patriot fleet Upskilling available
A well-established, family-owned contract spraying business based north of Mt Barker is looking for someone to operate and maintain a self-propelled sprayer. If you're confident behind the wheel of a self-propelled sprayer and take pride in doing the job properly, this is a genuine opportunity to work with modern equipment for a business that values long-term, respectful working relationships.
🌾 Great Southern region — local work, no long-haul travel

🚜 About the operation
This is an established contract spraying business based approximately 10km north of Mt Barker, servicing broadacre farms across the Great Southern region. All work is currently local, with the furthest clients around 100km from the home base — machines are kept at clients' farms and moved between jobs as required. The fleet is centred around two self-propelled Case Patriot sprayers (a 2012 and a 2021 model), guided by Trimble GPS and autosteer technology. This is a business with genuine plans to grow — future opportunities may include transport and truck driving work, along with travel allowances as the business expands into work further afield.

💦 About the role
You'll be operating and maintaining a self-propelled sprayer across the region's cropping programs, with the busiest period running March to October and additional, less predictable summer spraying opportunities across January and February. Key responsibilities include: 🔸 Operating and maintaining the self-propelled sprayer across client properties 🔸 Batching chemicals and filling the sprayer 🔸 Running decontaminations between jobs 🔸 Recording weather conditions accurately 🔸 General incidental tasks that support spray operations 🔸 Potential future involvement in nurse truck batching and driving as the business grows Fatigue management is taken seriously — no more than 12 working days in a row, after which you're entitled to two full, consecutive days off, and no more than 16 hours worked in a single day (in practice, well below this based on typical operating hours). This business prioritises building strong, respectful working relationships and long-term employment — this isn't a revolving-door operation.

✅ What you'll need
• Minimum 1 year of spray operating experience in a self-propelled machine • Chemical handling certification • MR licence to drive sprayers on public roads — the right candidate without one can be supported to upskill • Pest technician licence desirable but not essential — willingness to obtain one is required • Comfortable working independently and reliably across a seasonal workload • A genuine, long-term approach to the work

💰 What's on offer
Two ways this role can be structured depending on what suits you:
Casual Up to $50 per hour for the right candidate who can jump in the machine and get going straight away.
Full-time $75,000 base salary plus performance bonuses during busy seasons.
