🌾 About the station
A 77,000 ha breeding property running approximately 2,816 head of cattle plus around 20 horses, located in the heart of the Pilbara just outside Karratha. Owned and operated by an Indigenous corporation representing the traditional owners of the country it sits on.

📋 Key responsibilities
Livestock & operations
• Oversee all day-to-day station operations
• Lead all livestock management including breeding, health, herd development and turnoff
• Plan and execute mustering, branding, weaning and yard work
• Monitor and maintain 25 solar bore systems
• Rangeland monitoring and regeneration
Infrastructure & maintenance
• Maintain and improve fencing, yards and water systems
• Hands-on maintenance across plant, equipment and vehicles
• Record keeping including NLIS, NVDs and production data
• Budget forecasting, capex planning and financial monitoring
People & leadership
• Report directly to the CEO
• Mentor and develop Indigenous staff on station
• Manage staff, contractors and rosters
• Maintain strong relationships with Board, stakeholders and community
Strategic & compliance
• Contribute to operational and strategic planning
• Uphold WHS and biosecurity standards
• Liaise with mustering contractor currently in place
• Assist with station reporting to CEO and Board
✅ What you'll need
• 10+ years' experience managing large-scale livestock pastoral businesses
• Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous corporations
• High-level understanding of Indigenous culture in complex and sensitive situations
• Proven ability to mentor and develop staff in livestock production, rangeland management and station maintenance
• Strong commitment to animal welfare and quiet stock handling
• Practical capability across water systems, infrastructure, vehicles and machinery
• Strong skills in budgeting, capex planning and reporting to a CEO and Board
• Computer literate in Excel, Word and livestock management programmes
• Agricultural qualifications; business and natural resource management qualifications well regarded
• Current vehicle and truck licences
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills
