ABOUT THE FARM

This family-operated business runs a balanced dryland cropping and Merino sheep program across 7,500 hectares. Their operation includes:

🌾 Broadacre cropping program, including seeding, spraying, spreading & hay production
🐑 Merino sheep for wool and livestock management
🚜 Well-maintained machinery fleet including a 120ft boomspray, 60ft air seeder, hay gear, telehandler, and multiple support vehicles
🔧 A strong focus on good machinery upkeep, teamwork, and consistent communication

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be involved in all aspects of both cropping and livestock, including:

🔸 Operating broadacre machinery across spraying, seeding & spreading
🔸 Hay mowing, baling, stacking & telehandler operation
🔸 General fencing and property maintenance
🔸 Assisting with Merino sheep handling and day-to-day livestock work
🔸 Routine servicing and care of all equipment
🔸 Working both independently and as part of a close, supportive team

This role offers genuine variety, perfect for someone who enjoys switching between cropping tasks and livestock work while keeping gear in top condition.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

✔ Experience in broadacre cropping
✔ Strong machinery operation skills, especially boomspray
✔ HR Road Ranger licence (MC highly desirable)
✔ Good mechanical aptitude
✔ Calm temperament when working with livestock (experience optional)
✔ Strong critical thinking & planning ability
✔ Reliable, organised and respectful toward equipment and housing
✔ Ability to communicate well and contribute to a team-oriented environment
