This is an 8,500 hectare broadacre cropping operation based near Kojonup in Western Australia's Great Southern. It is a progressive, well organised business running a modern fleet of agricultural machinery, with a clear focus on keeping equipment in top condition and the program moving through every part of the season.

🔧 About the role
A full-time, long term Heavy Diesel Mechanic position responsible for servicing and maintaining the machinery fleet and keeping the operation running smoothly throughout the year.
Key responsibilities include:
🔸 Servicing and maintaining a modern fleet of agricultural machinery
🔸 Carrying out pre-season preparation so gear is ready before seeding and harvest
🔸 Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns in the workshop and in the paddock
🔸 Keeping the fleet reliable and available through the busy periods
🔸 General workshop upkeep and support across the operation as required
🔸 Following safe work practices and farm procedures at all times
This role suits a hands on mechanic who works well on their own, takes pride in a job done properly, and wants a long term position with a business that backs its people.
✅ What you'll need
• Proven experience servicing and maintaining agricultural or heavy machinery
• Heavy diesel or heavy vehicle mechanic trade qualification, or equivalent hands on experience
• Confident diagnosing and repairing breakdowns with minimal supervision
• Sound understanding of hydraulic, electrical and engine systems
• Ability to plan and carry out pre-season machinery preparation
• Unrestricted Class C Driver's Licence
• Ability to work extended hours during peak periods
• Self-motivated, reliable and takes pride in doing things properly
