🚁 Agricultural drones now part of the operation
🌾 About the operation
This is a 6,200 hectare broadacre cropping enterprise based north of Dalwallinu in WA's Northern Wheatbelt, growing wheat, canola, barley and lupins. It's a family operation with a professional edge: progressive, forward-thinking, and continuously investing in new technology and equipment.
The machinery fleet is modern and well-maintained, centred around Case IH. In the last 12 months the operation has invested in a brand-new AF10 header, a new Steiger 555, a new Hydraboom sprayer and a 90-tonne field bin. This year they've also added two 100-litre agricultural drones for spraying and spreading, plus a dedicated drone for weed mapping, a genuine commitment to precision agriculture that sets this farm apart.
🚜 About the role
Your primary responsibility will be operating the brand new Case IH AF10 header with a MacDon FD2 60ft front during harvest, along with assisting with harvest logistics and machinery maintenance. 🏡 Location & lifestyle
The farm sits in WA's Northern Wheatbelt, open, flat country with a genuine farming community feel. Dalwallinu is 50km south and services the region well: hospital, GP, pharmacy, supermarket, post office, daycare, kindy through to Year 12 schooling, and regular fresh food trucks for seafood, fruit and veg.
Dalwallinu has a strong community spirit with a good mix of young families. Social life centres around football, hockey, netball, bowls, swimming pool and lessons, pilates and a gym, plus creative outlets through the Creative Arts Committee, Country Women's Association and a Men's Shed.
For a farm role, this is a town with genuine depth, a place where families settle and put down roots.
