Join a well established, family run broadacre cropping business in the Great Southern of Western Australia. This is a genuine long term Farm Hand opportunity for a capable operator looking to secure a stable role within a progressive cropping enterprise.

You will work closely with ownership across all aspects of the cropping program, supporting daily operations, machinery management and seasonal activities across a 3,000 hectare program.

ABOUT THE FARM

A modern, family operated broadacre cropping business with a strong focus on efficiency, well maintained equipment and practical systems.

Total cropping area: 3,000 hectares

Main crops
• Wheat
• Barley
• Canola
• Hay

Machinery and Equipment

You will be working with a well maintained, modern John Deere fleet including:

• John Deere 4060R self propelled sprayer
• John Deere S790 header
• John Deere 9520R tractor
• Modern broadacre tractors across the fleet
• Seeding bar and air cart system
• Support trucks and fully equipped workshop facilities

The business operates streamlined systems and maintains machinery to a high standard.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands on Farm Hand position heavily focused on cropping operations.

Key duties
🔸 Seeding operations
🔸 Spraying and chemical handling
🔸 Harvest operations
🔸 Machinery servicing and preventative maintenance
🔸 General farm duties across the cropping program
🔸 Supporting day to day farm activities

Standard hours are consistent throughout the year, with increased hours required during seeding and harvest.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

✔ Previous broadacre cropping experience
✔ Confidence operating large scale machinery
✔ Mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability
✔ MC licence preferred
✔ Strong work ethic and reliability
✔ Ability to work well within a small team
