A progressive, family owned cropping operation near Broomehill is after a motivated machinery operator to join the team full time. It's a long term role with modern John Deere and Claas gear, a tidy work environment and a supportive team behind you.

What you'll be doing

Machinery and workshop

  • Operating and maintaining modern tractors, air seeders, sprayers, headers and spreaders
  • Day to day machinery servicing and workshop jobs
  • Keeping records up to date

Through the season

  • Seeding, including some night work
  • Harvest and spreading
  • Occasional help with basic sheep jobs

Good to know: anything over 42.5 hours a week is paid as overtime at double time, so the busy periods are worth your while.

What you'll need

Experience with

  • Broadacre machinery: tractors, harvesters and air seeders
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting gear, with the mechanical know how and initiative to get on with it

  • HR licence

  • Forklift or telehandler
  • Confined space and working at heights

And you're someone who

  • Has a strong work ethic and is keen to learn. Training is provided where needed
  • Is a team player who values good communication
