Join a well-run, family-operated 4,000ha broadacre cropping farm in the Great Southern, growing wheat, canola and barley. This is a great opportunity for a capable Broadacre Cropping Operator / Farm Hand seeking long-term stability, modern machinery, and an excellent lifestyle close to the coast.

ABOUT THE FARM

Glendavale Farms operates a large-scale dryland cropping program across 4,000 hectares near Boxwood Hill. The business is focused on efficiency, good systems, and looking after both people and machinery.

The operation includes:
🌾 Wheat, canola & barley cropping program
🚜 Modern machinery fleet including:
• DBS Morris air seeder & air cart (liquids + section control)
• Rogator 36m C-Series sprayer
• 2 × John Deere S790 harvesters
🛰 John Deere GPS & autosteer systems
🔧 Strong emphasis on machinery care and tidy workshops

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be involved in all aspects of the cropping program, including:

🔸 Spraying, seeding and harvest operations
🔸 Operating and maintaining modern broadacre machinery
🔸 General farm maintenance
🔸 Supporting day-to-day farm operations as required
🔸 Working both independently and within a small team

This role suits someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a well-organised cropping business.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

✔ Broadacre cropping experience preferred
✔ Driver’s licence
✔ Mechanical aptitude or interest in machinery
✔ Willingness to learn GPS and modern systems
✔ Strong work ethic and positive attitude
✔ Ability to work longer hours during seeding and harvest

HOURS, LIFESTYLE & LOCATION

🕐 Off-peak approx. 45 hours/week
🌾 Longer hours during seeding & harvest
