A progressive, family owned cattle business in WA's northern wheatbelt is after a Feedlot and Farm Hand to join their team. It's a hands on role with plenty of variety across feedlot, backgrounding and pastoral breeding, and real room to grow.

About the operation

This family run cattle operation combines feedlot, backgrounding and pastoral breeding enterprises across Western Australia. The focus is on efficiency and continual improvement across all three, and newly established pivots are now adding a cropping and hay production side to the business.

What you'll be doing

Feedlot and cattle work

  • Daily feedlot operations: feeding, pen cleaning and stock monitoring
  • Mustering, processing cattle and general animal husbandry
  • General support across backgrounding and station activities

Around the property

  • Fencing and general property maintenance
  • Water and mineral runs
  • Paddock clearing and preparation
  • Seeding and hay cutting on the newly established pivots

Good fit if: you enjoy working with livestock, running machinery and getting stuck into outdoor work.

What you'll need

You'll need

  • A driver's licence

Handy to have

  • Previous farm or livestock experience (preferred)
  • Basic mechanical or maintenance skills

And you're someone who

  • Has a good work ethic and is willing to learn
  • Works well on your own and as part of a team
  • Brings a positive attitude and is committed to station life
