This is a mixed farming business located west of Kendenup and Cranbrook in WA's Great Southern. The property crops around 1,700 hectares of wheat, barley, oats and canola, and runs approximately 5,000 crossbred ewes and 200 head of cattle. Most of the machinery and infrastructure is modern and well maintained. Key gear includes:

A full-time Senior Farm Hand position covering every part of the operation, from the cropping program through to the sheep and cattle. You'll work as part of a small team and on your own, with the trust to make decisions and the opportunity to put forward ideas when appropriate. Key responsibilities include: 🔸 Operating machinery across seeding, spraying, spreading and harvest 🔸 Sheep and cattle work throughout the year 🔸 Grain handling, field bins and seed cleaning 🔸 General farm duties across both the cropping and livestock enterprises 🔸 Working independently and as part of a small team 🔸 Making day to day decisions and contributing ideas when appropriate 🔸 Following safe work practices and farm procedures at all times This role suits someone with experience in all aspects of farming who is self motivated and comfortable taking ownership of their work.
