A well established 7,200 hectare cropping operation near Buntine is looking for an experienced Broadacre Farm Hand to join their team. You'll be running a modern, well maintained machinery fleet across seeding, spraying and harvest, with the latest autosteer and GPS technology at your fingertips. Spray experience is highly valued for this role. If you're after real variety, quality gear to work with, and a farm that runs a genuinely large scale cropping program, this one is worth a look.
🌾 About the Operation
This 7,200 hectare cropping operation is located near Buntine, WA, with the entire property under crop. The program covers wheat, barley, canola and lupins. The machinery fleet includes Case IH 8250 and 7230 headers, a JCB 8330 Icon loader, a Western Star 4864 truck, Brucerock engineering tippers, a Case IH Steiger 500 tractor, a DBS seeding system and Hydra booms for spraying. The operation runs Case and Trimble autosteer and GPS across the fleet, with a Topcon seeding system.
🔧 About the Role
- Operating and maintaining a full range of cropping machinery using the latest technology
- Seeding, spraying and harvest operations
- Spraying duties, including chemical mixing and application
- Spreading lime, gypsum and fertiliser
- Maintenance of machinery and farm infrastructure
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting basic mechanical problems
- Working safely and completing tasks to a high standard
✅ What You'll Need
- Experience across all aspects of broadacre farming
- Spraying experience is highly valued
- Current chemical handling certificate
- First aid and forklift certificate
- HR license required, MC license desirable or a willingness to obtain one

Standard hours are 45 per week, increasing to around 72 hour weeks during peak seeding, spraying and harvest periods, worked across a six day week.
🏠 Accommodation
A four bedroom, modern transportable home is available in Dalwallinu, in a great location close to the school and local amenities. The home is unfurnished, with ducted reverse cycle air conditioning, a garage, and a garden and back yard. It is well suited to a family, and utilities are negotiable.
📍 Location
The farm is located approximately 40km from Dalwallinu, with accommodation provided in the town itself. Dalwallinu has a great community and provides most of the services and amenities a family would need, including schools and local shops.
